Former Flyers Bernie Parent, Bob Kelly and Dave Schultz to Join in the Festivities
Atlantic City, New Jersey (June 3, 2008) – The children of the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City are preparing to welcome and entertain dozens of community partners at the Pennsylvania Avenue Clubhouse Unit (317 N. Pennsylvania Ave.) during the 6th Annual “Steak & Burger” Dinner on June 18, 2008. The event begins at 5:30pm.
This fundraising event gives sponsors and guests the opportunity to meet individually with club members and staff and experience first-hand the wonderful opportunities available to these children through the club’s programs.
All attendees will be paired up with a club kid, who will be their host for a tour of the facility. Guests will then join the children for a delicious dinner with a unique and tasty twist. As hosts, the children get to feast like grown-ups on scrumptious STEAKs, while the adults get to be kids again and sink their teeth into juicy BURGERs.
Guests will be enjoying more than just a meal as former Stanley Cup Flyers team members Bernie Parent, Bob Kelly and Dave Schultz join in the festivities, along with the Atlantic City Surf’s mascot, Splash. Special performances and youth awards round out an evening to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of young people from the club.

 There will be appearances by Bernie Parent, Bob Kelly and Dave Schultz from the Stanley Cup Winning Championship Flyers team.
There will also be the Surf Mascot and a disc jockey provided by AC Surf.
There will be awards given for children from each Club and a check presentation and recognition to Cristal Millan the New Jersey State Youth of the Year from our Chelsea Club.
The event has been co-chaired by Carmen Gonzales and Dean Harrison.
